Project Guidelines...DUE DATE is MAY 24th!!!
- Build a Hydroponic System to grow lettuce, spinach, cilantro, or parsley. (your choice) - You may build this at home or bring materials into class. We will assemble them on April 26th so please be sure all you materials are here! If you build at home, please bring your system to school to plant your seeds here. No system should be bigger than a shoebox! We have limited window space and want to ensure everyone's plants have a chance to grow.
- Hydroponics Powerpoint - You will create a Powerpoint on Hydroponics that must contain a minimum of 10 slides. There is no maximum, but be sure all slides are necessary to convey your understanding and teach your audience. Suggested slides include:
- title slide
- answers to the 4 background research questions...
#2: Predict what would happen if the United States used Hydroponics exclusively for all vegetable growing.
#3: Do you need to use fertilizer with hydroponic systems? Explain your answer.
#4: Explain one way you could improve hydroponic systems.
- answer to the final research question...
- MUST explain photosynthesis and the plant structures involved. Diagrams & descriptions are highly suggested!
- explanation of your hydroponics growing system
- Credits. All photographs, diagrams, thoughts/ideas that are not your own must be given credit!!!!
